Whether your skin is perfect or not everyone still faces one of the following problems; dry skin, dark spots, or some form of a breakout. I'm here to make your life a little easier by providing some tips to tackle each of these problems.
You wouldn't think that something as simple as a shower would effect your skin's dryness but it does. Here are somethings you can do while showering to increase your skin's moisture:
*Limit your time in the shower to 10-15 minutes
*Use warm water rather than steaming hot
*Wash with gentle, fragrance free cleansers (Suggested product: Sk's Multi tea facial cleanser)
*Dab your skin dry with a towel
*Apply a moisturizer directly after showering
2. Use the right Moisturizer
Use an ointment or creme or creme rather than lotion. Many lotions contain harmful parabems in them that ointment and cremes often do not. Specifically look for ointments & cremes that contain Olive oil, jojoba oil, coconut oil, or shea butter. (all of Sk's cremes contains atleast one of those ingredients)
3. Retain your lip's moisture
To retain your lip's moisture, avoid using lip balms that include the ingredients; camphor, phenol, and menthol. Those three ingredients temporarily give your lips moisture, but dries them out not too long after application. Look for lip balms that contain ingredients like; beeswax, shea butter, petroleum, or any natural oils.
Dark spots can be a pain, and are often hard to get rid of without causing more complications with your skin. Here are a few tips to tackle dark spots:
1. Use Lemon Juice
Lemon juice naturally brightens and tones the skin. Try dabbing some lemon juice on your dark spots, or if that is too strong, use a toner that contains lemon juice.
2. Use Castor Oil
Castor oil is great for lightening dark spots however, do not overuse it or it will clog your pores
3. Use Buttermilk
May be surprising but Butter milk does wonders for dark spots. Buttermilk contains an exceptional amount of lactic acid which is used to treat skin discoloration. Apply it to your skin daily for results.
No one likes to randomly breakout and when you do breakout I'm sure you look up ways to clear up your face as soon as you can. Here are some ways to prevents breakouts from happening or to clear up breakouts when they do happen.
1. Try changing your pillow case
Changing your pillow case frequently, will break the chances of you breaking out down. Having the same pillow case for too long cause cause bacteria can build up and get into your open pores.
2. Try a facial cleanser
Facial cleansers are always a great way to cleanse all of the bad things out of your pores. Try to look for cleansers that do not suds up, as they will dry your skin out. Some ingredients to look for when choosing a facial cleanser are; green tea, DMAE, and a natural oil.
3. Try a Honey & Cinnamon Mask
That's right something as simple as honey & cinnamon can clear up your skin. Best thing about this mask is that these ingredients can be found in your kitchen cabinet.
4. My personal favorite; use tea tree oil
Whenever you have random breakouts, use tea tree oil. Tea tree oil works quick and is anti inflammatory & fights bacteria.
